So, HijackThis was purchased by this guy https://github.com/dragokas/hijackthis who open sourced it. It is now known as Hijackthis Plus it is pretty much beat in every way by FRST, which is the golden standard for malware removal tools at the moment due to its scripting ability. I have posted the HijackThis source code in a HF repository and I have reverse engineered FRST and posted the source code in said same repository. My goal is to take HijackThis Plus and turn it into a HackForums version of HijackThis with a lot more potency and use. However, I would also like to make our own version of FRST as well. I love the HJT userbar myself and like I said all the content for HJT is there, but it is completely optional to learn. You will find how much better in comparison FRST is from reading the tutorial. Even OTL is by far superior to HJT and OTL is also a discontinued tool. Maybe FRST first as you mentioned and then HJT for fun down the line then. Yeah that's why I made all those tools optional because they're mostly useless now as bad as I hate to say it. RE: [MRT-X Academy] Ask Questions about Tutorials Here - DramaKing - Mar 17, 2025 In regards to the Safe Mode tutorial, I thought that F8 was not working anymore, and a quick search seems to indicate that it only works on legacy boot or BIOS. At least, it's considered a legacy boot option.
