Any tips you might have for a new streamer? - OG Man - Mar 7, 2025 I'm going to begin streaming today. Why? Because I need to. I have been "aware" I'm streaming without giving my consent for the last 9 years. I now need to record my life, because I am in medical danger, and have been for a long time, and am being refused help from "government employees" Please give me any advice for streaming you might have, including; what to use, like OBS, and what to use for virtual camera, so it's just my face showing, etc. Please let me know any advice you have! I will try and keep my streams high quality, and "intelligent", staying aware as possible, about what people may try and exploit. I will also be using restream.io to stream to Twitch and Kick (2 at once, pretty cool) Thank you! Or phone? They could be reading this right now and become aware of your plans. They are. Get your name out there, have fun and share your viewers with everyone ... RE: Any tips you might have for a new streamer? - 2025 - Mar 14, 2025 OBS Studio is definitely the way to go. It's free, open-source, and incredibly powerful. For a virtual camera, OBS's built in Virtual Camera is great. Since you mentioned "intelligent" streams, focus on clear audio. A decent microphone is more important than an amazing camera initially. Engage with your chat, but don't feel pressured to respond to everything. I'm not sure streaming is the best way to document a medical situation, though. Have you considered just recording videos locally and backing them up securely? Might be safer. Just a thought. |
