Any of you nerds listen to the anime audiobooks? - NoSuchAgency - Mar 16, 2025

There are such amazing quality audiobooks for many light novel series, and more are being made all the time, yen press has yen audio which is so good.

They act out the voices, and sometimes even get the english dub VA to read the main characters lines.

Goblin slayer is one of my favorites, very good listen.

Solo leveling books are pretty good too, but just one guy reading.

However... can be awkward at times if you're like driving with the windows down. 😭

I've gone through so many now lol

I usually listen to either podcasts or medical audiobooks on the way to work to keep up with the updates.

hahahahahaha yeah man well it comes out of nowhere sometimes. One minute they're fighting some boss, then the anime waifu is being loud as shit. but they're pretty good especially if you have an active imagination. For me it's just like watching an anime while doing whatever.

Meh, I can listen to Swedish Real Crime "podcasts" on Spotify at like 5-6 AM when I can't sleep.
There's different ones.

Like, court room interviews, hearings, and overall just explaining about the actual crime.
But that's not often.

Honestly the Dungeon Crawler Carl series ruined audiobook fiction for me. Set the bar too high imo and I can’t go back.

I go back and forth, sometimes it's music, podcasts, or various books. I work outside by myself all day, so it's pretty easy for me.

Is it worth ruining my expectations as well? I'll go look it up right now..

Ohhhh boy they're so good, I bet you're gonna love them, somewhere on the internet you can find a giant list of them.

Here's a few resources I found

Appreciate it. I'll look into them. I see some familiar names on there already.

The same thing happens with music or anime openings. Sometimes I feel that people's laughter is more embarrassing than an insult like "ridiculous otaku."
