[Suggestion] for Group Prestige - jcole - Mar 23, 2025
On the https://hackforums.net/showgroups.php page under each group shows their prestige. I'd like a way to see what my contributions are specifically. Is there a way to be able to have a page where you can go to that lists the groups you are in and the prestige that you have contributed for each specific group for that months time period or also have a separate counter for total group prestige contributed?

I second this. That would be very useful also for leaders to see who’s lagging or doing nothing at all.

therein lies the problem
building a feature that benefits a minority of people (group leaders) is an inherently wasteful activity when there's other things that time could be spent on
this is coming from my perspective as a group owner as well

I liked the individual prestige as well, but Omni keeps rehashing how badly he wants to conceal the formula for GP so stats of this nature probably just can't be provided.
I'm of the opinion that if the formula is x + y + x and xyz are all positive engagement with the website, who cares if the code is cracked or known.
Yeah I think this would make it easier to understand the formula. I don't think Omni wants anyone to understand the formula.
Eventually if monitored enough you will be able to work it out but that could take ages.

1. I will not make it easy to figure out formula.
2. It's about the GROUP not individuals.
Maybe I've done a really poor job of explaining the Group Prestige concept.

I hope in the near future you can rethink allowing the group prestige. I enjoyed being able to compete with other groups and see who can push out the most activity to be a leader for the month.
