Good Books for learning coding - Phantom_NiNja - Apr 10, 2025 Is there any good books on reverse engineering software? At a asm X86 64 bit level? Is there any goods books for c, c++ or ASM x86 64 bit that covers windows app creations? I know people say use the ms windows api documents online for free? I just want to know if there's any books out that uses the windows api and explains it line by line what is required using c++ or ASM x86 64 bit code. I am just curious. I have some old school games where I am thinking to make a project that can make either mods or cheats for the game but want to do things at the asm level. Just to get comfortable with asm. I have made my own bootloader and my own OS that works but it's not at a commercial grade level. I will work on it over the years. To get it at a commercial level where people and use it. I have ideas on my own file system. Just curious if there's such books that are good that can discuss such a topic? I am aware there's good windows book but I think it uses visual basic instead of c++ but it does go over the api. I was told to use that and I have the book but would rather have a book that goes over c++ code or asm code and explains what each line does and why it's needed and other variations you can potentially do.
