Hey, is it possible in any way to gain admin access to a site and edit the site completely like adding pictures?
Tried sql injection a few times and it didn't really work

First at all you must know which CMS is the website running.
After , which version.
And just after that you’ll know how to exploit the database.
SQL Injections doesn’t work in all systems

Yeah, there's CMS admin, cPanel admin, and FTP. Sometimes you just have to login to the web host.

You can attempt to find the admin login using a tool like DirBuster or Dirb. Click here for DirBuster's Sourceforge page.
On Ubuntu, Debian, or Debial WSL:

If you need concrete examples of how this is done, your Google keyword should be "Exposed admin panel".
