Anyone airdrop farming Lighter exchange? - _daniel - May 20, 2025
Lighter is a new DEX, similar to Hyperliquid, but with less centralization. It's rumoured to release an airdrop (points system).
Is anyone trading on it / points farming? There are currently no trade fees as well.
Can anyone share the best way to farm points?

I dont mind their layout, but the lack of audits will keep me from putting any money in until I can see for sure that the platform isn't designed to strip my funds.

Agreed, that's the main counterparty risk. But they offer zero fee perps ATM. When BTC was pumping from James Wynn large BTC long pos, there was a free carry trade (long spot Binance no fee, short perp Lighter no fee) to farm the funding.

I put the max i could on the pool (1500) and im trading on it by shorting Bitcoin on Ligther and longing bitcoin on GMX and Hyperliquid. However it seems they are not giving points easily right? I basically got one point for putting 1500 on their MM strategy, thats basically nothing lol

I think they change the algo often to prevent airdrop farmers. Maybe need high volume or liqs?
Just did a 50K USD margin trade and closed after 30 mins delta neutral to test...earned 6 points

Yeah im guessing volume plays a big part. Gonna try 50k on margin this week to check. I don't wanna get liquidated to get points so i will never know LOL

I got 8 points this week lol. Got one referral and did around 30k in volume (positive but very low PnL in terms of USD, only 300 lol). I've noticed the higher your PnL, the higher you can deposit on the public pool as well!

Yeah, looks like it. I think over time, they will try distribute less and less points
