Dry heat vs Humid heat, which is worse? - Pikachu - Jun 12, 2025 I used to live in southern California where it was dry and hot as hell and it sucked! Now I live in Florida where it also gets really hot but it's humid. They both suck. To me they're just as terrible as eschother. RE: Dry heat vs Himid heat, which is worse? - Syndicate - Jun 12, 2025 I honestly feel like humidity is worse for me. I can barely breath when it's really humid outside RE: Dry heat vs Himid heat, which is worse? - Sam - Jun 12, 2025 Personally I think humidity is worse, it can make breathing more difficult, while dry heat, though tolerable for longer periods can become dangerous. RE: Dry heat vs Humid heat, which is worse? - Cap - Jun 12, 2025 100% humid heat. Constantly sweaty and can be hard to breathe occasionally. RE: Dry heat vs Humid heat, which is worse? - sharn - Jun 12, 2025 Humid heat is the worst for me. It is hard to stay comfortable when the air feels so thick and heavy. I haven't never experienced the California heat, but I have experienced the Florida heat.. and it's ridiculous in the summer time. When that sun comes out.. it beats on your skin, and is relentless. Better stay in doors, and keep that AC on high. AI Quote: The average humidity level in summer (June–August) in Southern California—especially coastal areas like Los Angeles, San Diego, and Orange County—is typically around 60–70% in the early morning, dropping to 40–55% during the day as temperatures rise. Inland areas (e.g., Riverside, San Bernardino) are much drier, often seeing daytime humidity drop to 20–30% or even lower during heat waves. Summary: Coastal SoCal: 60–70% morning, 40–55% daytime Inland SoCal: 30–40% morning, 15–30% daytime Vegas is really dry. Most of the time we're over 100 degrees with 5% humidity or less in the summer. SoCal has that ocean right there. So unless you were more than 50 miles inland you probably got some ocean humidity. I can't stand humidity. Can't breathe in it. Coming from NYC where indeed it's 90 degree with 80% humidity and its miserable. You're dirty and sweaty and feels like you're breathing through a layer of mist. In Vegas, I can golf for 3-4 hours in 110 degrees no problem. Just gotta hydrate. RE: Dry heat vs Humid heat, which is worse? - Mercury - Jun 12, 2025 I'll take hot and dry over shitty humid weather any day of the weak. Humidity makes it hard to breathe and it just gets you feeling nasty. No thanks. I used to live in the Coachella Valley, the desert of California, im sure it would be more humid in areas like LA and San Diego but it was pretty dry where I lived. RE: Dry heat vs Humid heat, which is worse? - Rsynced - Jun 13, 2025 Florida is the worst but after awhile it feels good being all soaked in humid sweat when you're working outside. RE: Dry heat vs Humid heat, which is worse? - abbi052871 - Jun 13, 2025 For me, humidity is worse. I feel like I can't breath and the air is so heavy. I haven't really experienced dry heat, but that sounds pretty horrible too! RE: Dry heat vs Humid heat, which is worse? - jcole - Jun 13, 2025 I live in West Texas and have a lot of dry heat. I've also worked in Louisana where for months it was 90-100% humidity the entire summer. Both suck just as bad. |
