Generate Thousands of Original Stories with 1 Click
Free Access Until July 24

Alright, I didn’t really plan on posting this.

Honestly, I built it for myself first, just something simple I could open locally to generate quick stories. No login, no API keys, no need to beg OpenAI for tokens. Just… open file, click, read.

But the more I used it, the more I thought: this could actually be useful for more than just wasting time or testing ideas. Especially if you’re into content automation, storytelling, game dev, or even just making your own little creative tools.

Let me walk you through what it is, how it works, and where it might surprise you.

🔹 What It Is

It’s an HTML file you run in your browser, that’s it.
No setup, no backend, no database. Fully offline.

You click a few buttons, and it instantly spits out a short story, complete with characters, conflict, structure, dialogue, and a proper ending. Like a mini narrative machine.

And the stories aren’t just copy-paste templates. There’s some light randomness baked in, not total chaos, but just enough to make each one feel fresh. Even when you hit the same genre a few times, it doesn’t really feel repetitive.

You can also toggle between a "clean" writing mode (basic and readable) and a more expressive, humanized one. That one’s a bit messier, but also, I think, more fun.

Genres Available:
  1. Horror
  2. Fantasy
  3. Sci-Fi
  4. Mystery
  5. Comedy

Each has its own internal logic, character sets, world flavor, and even dialogue tone. I put some care into that part.

Length Options:
  1. ~500 words (quick reads)
  2. ~1500+ words (more fleshed out)

Not a novel, obviously. But solid enough for a foundation, or something you could build on.

🔹 Why Would You Use It?

So here’s where I think it becomes more than just a novelty.

🔸 Content creation:
Turn the stories into voiceovers with TTS (like ElevenLabs), throw in some AI art, and now you’ve got YouTube Shorts or TikToks. Fast workflow.

🔸 Creative prototyping:
Making a game, a comic, a visual novel? Need sidequests, character quirks, random plot threads? Generate a bunch and see what sticks.

🔸 For parents or teachers:
Yeah, I know, sounds cheesy. But someone I showed this to uses it for bedtime stories. Print a few and you’ve got a quirky storybook.

Sometimes small tools like this unlock weirdly big value. Not in a “this will change your life” way just… useful.

Oh, and yes, you can resell it if you want (but not here on HF). That’s up to you.

🔹 How’s It Different From ChatGPT?

Good question. I mean, yes, you could use ChatGPT to do the same thing. But:
  • This runs offline. So no data sharing, no API limits, no OpenAI outages.
  • It’s instant. Click, generate. No token slowdowns, no waiting.
  • Fully customizable. Just choose Comedy, Horror, Mystery... No coding required.
  • Free forever. No strings attached. It’s an HTML page. Keep it on a flash drive if you want.
  • If you still want to customize it via ChatGPT, then just copy the Story and go to GPT and tell it what you want to change, or maybe you just want to *improve* it

Sometimes simplicity beats sophistication. Or maybe not beats, but sidesteps it.

No installs. Just open (double click) the HTML file in any browser and you’re good to go.
No internet needed. Not even the first time.

I don’t think this is the most groundbreaking tool ever, and I’m not pretending it is. But it’s light, it’s fast, and it actually does something useful with zero friction.

Step 1: Once you’ve got the tool:
  • Start by generating a story you like, either 500 or 1500 words. Feel free to change the title or character names if you want.
  • Head over to ElevenLabs and create an account if you don’t already have one.
  • When you sign up, you’ll get 3,000 free credits to generate text-to-speech audio.
  • Pick a voice you like from the list; there are a bunch to choose from.
  • Paste your story, generate the voiceover, and download the audio when it’s ready.
  • You can now just go to Step 3: when you have the video upload to YouTube,

Or if you want, you can just create a PodCast from Step 2 with Step 3, and upload it on YouTube.

Step 2: Head to Google’s "Notebook LM"
Search for “Google Notebook LM” (you might not have heard of it from this thread, if not, I recommend you check this thread first and leave a like and one comment, about what you think).
  • Click Try Now after you register, and you’ll see a few options.
  • Click on New Notebook
  • Paste the Text.
  • Click Generate, and boom, it loads into an interactive Podcast.
  • Now click “Deep Dive Conversation,” and honestly? This part surprised me.

If you want to check this YouTube video on how to create a podcast with Google’s "Notebook LM":

It turns your text into a natural sounding back-and-forth, like a podcast. It even throws in clarifying questions, tone variation… like something two people would actually say.

Step 3: Turn It into a Video with CapCut
Now grab that text and drop it into CapCut. Choose “Script to Video.” (Or you can use other tools that support text to video)
You paste the Podcast, like dialogue, and it literally creates an entire video around it, clips, transitions, relevant images.

Then you can transcribe it, add subtitles with one click, and export it in vertical format, ready for TikTok, Reels, Shorts… whatever you’re aiming for.

It feels weird at first. Like you didn’t earn it. But the result? It’s clean. Sharable. And if you’re clever with it, it can bring in real views.

Step 4: Create books and sell it:
  • Head over to ChatGPT if you’d like to improve or rewrite the story.
  • Open any PDF editor, something simple will do.
  • Paste in the story you just generated.
  • Grab an image from the internet (or generate your own) and drop it into the PDF.
  • Then just follow the instructions from the other thread to finish things up.

Why This Actually Matters
I know we’ve all seen AI hacks on YouTube before. Most of them feel kind of spammy. But this one actually has legs.

You can cover real news, trending topics, niche interests… all without writing a single sentence from scratch or editing a single frame by hand.

It doesn’t mean it’s effortless (you still need taste and judgment). But the hard part? The technical stuff? The “I don’t know how to edit” excuse? It’s gone now.

Want to Try It Yourself?
If you’re curious, follow the instruction and I’ll DM you the full tool list I use.

This isn’t about replacing creativity. It’s about removing barriers.

Whether you want to start a podcast, grow a YouTube Shorts channel, or just create smart stuff without overthinking it, this is one way to start.
Don’t overthink it. Just start and see where it goes.

Pretty dope tool. I can see how this could be beneficial for the right person. Nice of you to offer it for free for most of the month of July. What happens after July 24th, how much will it cost to use it then? Might be helpful to include this information in the thread too, so potential users can know what to expect.

Thanks for the share.

Thanks a lot for the kind words, really appreciate that you took the time to read this.

As for what happens after July 24th, good question. I haven’t fully decided yet, but I want to add a version with extra genres and features. Just trying to test the waters a bit for now and see what kind of feedback it gets.

Unique Stories: 512,000

💡 Price:
  1. Lite version (no export or only 1–2 genres): $19–$29
  2. Full version (5 genres, .txt export, humanized style, fully offline): $59–$79
  3. Extended/commercial license: $99+

I’m also thinking about adding more features soon, like automatically inserting images and a few other upgrades I have in mind.

And you’re right, I should’ve added that to the thread, so people know what to expect.
I’ll update it shortly with a note about the plan going forward. Appreciate the heads-up!

Thanks again for the support.

Hey nicely done thread.

I have a few questions which I ask in an objective perspective and hope that you view it from the same manner as well

1) You mentioned "If you still want to customize it via ChatGPT, then just copy the Story and go to GPT and tell it what you want to change, or maybe you just want to improve it"

So, this means the tool can't enhance or polish the story like ChatGPT can. For example, asking it to change the main character personality into so and so etc. Would using tools like ChatGPT from the start be more beneficial then?

2) Other than it being offline, do you feel this tool competes in a fair ground against other AI story generators? There are possibly unlimited stories and variation other AI tools can do. This tool has a fixed story from the pool it generates maybe?

3) Where were the stories from your pool of 512k obtained? Was it also AI generated and added in?

4) You mentioned "Alright, I didn’t really plan on posting this." at the start of the thread, what made you want to post this tool? Other than 7's contest entry?

In first glance, this seems like a curated source of stories being repacked into a tool that now works offline.
Of course, at this point it's just my assumption. You can correct me if I'm wrong.

Looks good, I will have to look more into though, I trying to take a break from HF and all other online social things. I have been spending way too much time on here and not taking care of my responsibilities.

Hey, thanks a lot for the thoughtful questions, I really appreciate that you took the time to go through the thread with a critical eye.
Let me answer each point as clearly and objectively as I can:

1️⃣ “So this means the tool can't enhance or polish the story like ChatGPT can?”
You're absolutely right, this tool doesn’t try to replace ChatGPT’s ability to fine-tune or rewrite content.

What it does is instantly generate full stories with structure, characters, plot, dialogue, and an ending, all in 1 click.
It’s a creative launcher, not a rewriter. If you want to enhance a story after generating it, ChatGPT is perfect for that.

Think of it as:
Instant first draft → Refine in ChatGPT → Done.

This actually saves time and energy, especially when you want ideas fast or just want to avoid staring at a blank screen.

2️⃣ “Does this tool fairly compete with other AI story generators?”
Honestly, I don’t think it’s trying to compete in the same way.

Many AI generators are great but:
  • Require API keys or paid tokens
  • Need constant internet access
  • Involve prompts, logins, or loading times
  • Can feel overwhelming for casual users

This tool is different:
  • It works fully offline
  • It’s instant (no waiting, no throttling)
  • It’s lightweight and portable
  • It requires zero technical knowledge
  • And it’s completely free

You open it in your browser, hit a button, and you get a full story. That’s the value: simplicity and speed, not unlimited generation.

3️⃣ “Where were the 512,000 stories obtained from?”
Good catch, that number doesn’t refer to prewritten stories.

All stories are dynamically created based on combinations of:
  1. Characters
  2. Goals
  3. Settings
  4. Plot twists
  5. Dialogue
  6. Resolution formats

Each genre has its own flavor and logic. And when you calculate all the possible combinations, you get over 512,000 unique permutations, all generated live when you click.

So no scraping or external content, just randomized generation using original structures.

4️⃣ “You said you didn’t plan on posting this. What changed?”
Totally fair question. I originally built it just for myself. But after showing it to some content creators (my friends), and even parents, the feedback surprised me:
  • “This would be perfect for script stories. also for chatgpt”
  • “I could use this to prototype game quests.”
  • “It’s so fast, I can use it for YouTube voiceovers.”

Every story is generated randomly in real time. There’s no memory, no saving, and no repeats unless by pure chance.

Close the tool, reopen it later, you’ll get new, unique results each time.
It does not store or reuse previous stories. Ever.

Honestly, if it wasn’t for this contest, I don’t think I would’ve even shared it…
And maybe after the contest ends, I’ll just see how things go.
I might not even sell it at all, or maybe I’ll improve it a bit and sell it later.
Because it still needs a bit of work, it's not ChatGPT, after all 🤣

Truth is, I originally built this just for myself, for the exact reason I mentioned earlier.

So yes, the 7 Contest helped push me to package it and share it for free till 24 this month.

It’s not trying to replace ChatGPT. No No... But it’s fast, offline, fun, and surprisingly useful, especially when you want to create something without friction.

Thanks again for the great questions. Happy to answer anything else!💯

aking breaks is healthy, especially when you feel like the online world is eating into your real-life responsibilities. The thread will still be here whenever you're ready, it’s not going anywhere. Take care of yourself in the meantime!
Or if you want to check it now, just follow all instructions, and I will DM you. 🙂

Will it stop working after 24 July? Or is it for unlimited use even after 24th ?
