Beginner in Ethical Hacking Looking to Learn, Connect & Contribute [Student | Code- - code-29 - Jul 16, 2025

Hello HackForums community,

I'm Code-29 — a 18-year-old student currently diving deep into the world of cybersecurity and ethical hacking. I’ve recently started my journey, and I’m here not just to learn, but to grow, connect with like-minded individuals, and eventually give back to the community that helps me.

So far, I've been brushing up on:

Linux fundamentals & terminal navigation

Networking basics (OSI model, TCP/IP, ports)

Python for automation and scripting

Basic use of tools like Nmap, Wireshark, and Burp Suite

I fully believe in the "Ethical" side of hacking — using skills to defend, protect, and understand systems. I don’t support illegal activities, and my aim is to someday become a cybersecurity expert who contributes to digital safety globally.

If you're also learning or you’re an experienced member open to sharing advice, I’d love to hear from you. Feel free to drop tips, resources, or any beginner-friendly threads worth checking out.

Thanks for having me!
Looking forward to this journey together.
