Best VPN and Icognito browsing - TheArchitect - Jul 20, 2025
Which VPN would be best for privacy and speed and why?
Also what browser and in which way should I use it for full privacy? Thank you

I like mullvad vpn. I can game comfortably on it if thats any perspective on speed. Downloads are okay.
A private browser? Open up terminal and start using curl. Thats pretty private.
They say Brave or a basic and stripped Chromium browser is private.

I feel like mullvad is always on the cutting edge of improving VPN. I like that you can pay with crypto and load account numbers instead of having an account name.
I've used proton and tunnelbear in the past and they both seemed fine for me, from what I saw. The best is probably to spin up your own though with a VPS.

Could I do all of this at once?

For a balance of strong privacy and good speed, Mullvad is widely considered one of the best VPNs. It offers a strict no-logs policy, anonymous account creation (no email required), supports the fast WireGuard protocol, and is open-source and independently audited. IVPN and ProtonVPN are also excellent alternatives, with similar transparency and privacy guarantees. When it comes to browsers, Firefox (with privacy hardening via tools like arkenfox user.js) or LibreWolf (a hardened fork of Firefox) are top choices. For full anonymity, Tor Browser is unmatched, though it’s slower due to its routing. For best results, use a hardened browser with tracking protection, avoid logging into personal accounts, disable telemetry, and separate your browsing profiles. Combining a trustworthy VPN with a privacy-focused browser setup is essential for maintaining online privacy without compromising speed too much.

I personally use tunnelbear vpn, its a great high speed vpn with many locations around the globe, and they have a free trail so you can try it and decide yourself.
