I'm not much into iOS, but I recently was asked to try, and figured that older models may be vulnerable. Try look up checkm8 or something like that. Even if bruteforcing was possible (Apple added protections against this years ago. There's a 99.9% chance of permanently locking the device.), you couldn't connect it to a new iTunes install or anything. You'd have to tap 'Trust This Device' or something. Sorry about your pictures. Try every email address you know. I think keystroke injection works on a locked device, at least if you know the passcode. It will come with an entire kit and a link to a video to follow for instructions. At the very longest it might take you 30 minutes (the tiny screws are a pain sometimes to get back in). Overall an extremely easy task. I've always looked at phone screen replacement as extremely complex, sensitive, and difficult. I'm surprised that the tools alone don't cost that much. The $500 or whatever that Apple charges has always seemed ridiculous. Extremely easy on the iPhones. iPads are a little harder, apple makes it extremely easy to break the home key. |
