Thinking of moving to America, what states are good? - xclouded1 - Aug 13, 2025
I'm considering of moving to America at some point, (if I'm allowed in)
I know HF is mostly an American site etc, so I thought I'd ask,
what are the best states and what are the worst?
Where would you move to if you could, or where should a fellow brit consider moving to, taking in consideration these factors;
- Quality of life
- Cost of living there (is it good or bad)
- Opportunities
- Crime rate

I would say the Carolina’s. The climate is good in both North and South Carolina. Crime isn’t bad, and Southern Hospitality is alive and well there.

Carolinas a great. Go to one of the sides either east on the coast or west in the mountains.

Really depends on how much money you have and what you'll be making.

Britain is no longer Britain, if I say more, I'll probably be arrested, and what I would write wouldn't even be that bad lol.

Yeah true, I'm not sure how I would have if I was to make the decision, a few hundred thousand eventually? not entirely sure 👍

Although Michigan might be good, nothing really tops Ohio in goodness. But Ohio is getting expensiver by the minute. So for a good bukget option Michigan (happy birthday XDDDD), or hell even Florida. Or Istanbul for the delicious Iskender kebab.
