Google’s August Patch Fixes Two Qualcomm Vulnerabilities Exploited in the Wild

Google has released security updates to address multiple security flaws in Android, including fixes for two Qualcomm bugs that were flagged as actively exploited in the wild.
The vulnerabilities include CVE-2025-21479 (CVSS score: 8.6) and CVE-2025-27038 (CVSS score: 7.5), both of which were disclosed alongside CVE-2025-21480 (CVSS score: 8.6), by the chipmaker back in June 2025.

It’s a constant cat-and-mouse game....
Glad they patched it, especially since these were being actively exploited.🙄

I like how Google and Qualcomm disclosed these vulnerabilities transparently. That openness helps security researchers and users stay informed.

I feel like I've seen a few reports of things like this in recent months. Ever since the first of such, it's made me stay all the more on top of keeping everything I can as updated as possible. Glad this got handled.

It's kinda wild that we just never hear from the companies about these attacks lol

Little bit scary how these can be exploited… new shit gets found everyday though, it’s just a matter of someone noticing and reporting

It’s unsettling that attackers were already exploiting these flaws before the fixes landed. That just shows how fast-paced the security world is. Hopefully, this patch closes the gap quickly.

Man, it was already being used before it could be patched. Thats bad news
