Help with first steps in cybersecurity - cuervofino - Aug 27, 2025
I want to start understanding cybersecurity. I'm exploring forums and platforms, but I don't know where to begin... although I have a good foundation in systems engineering, I'd love it if someone with experience could help me take my first steps. Thanks in advance for the help!

Have you tried websites like TryHackMe or Hack The Box? TryHackMe is really good for beginners, as it highlights various career paths and offers a lot of topics to explore. Same with HTB but I'd say it's not that beginner friendly

Thanks for your help! I tried those sites, and they're good until you have to pay haha. Now I'm looking for a guide to the tools I should have or basic exercises a hacking enthusiast should know how to do.
