Day-to-day: Python for scripts, automation, and quick APIs.
When I need speed or low-level stuff I switch to Go (static binary, great concurrency).
For web front-end it’s JavaScript/TypeScript + React.
Pick one general-purpose (Python) and one low-level (C/Rust/Go); that duo covers 95 % of use-cases.

Mostly PHP, Rust and typescript.
Now with AI, using a well documented language is the key.

Not for "hacking tools and programs", but I use C# at work every day and end up using it for 90% of my side projects. Don't really make "hacking tools and programs", but I've considered making a few utilities to sell here that are of neutral hat-ness
