Personally, I am in that phase now due to not really having time. Now I just build the gunpla model kits and collect those.

Yeah I kind of just stopped watching years ago :(. Not sure why, just stopped. Maybe one day Ill pick it up again.

There are thousands out there and more coming up that I haven't seen. There's always a genre out there to tickle your fancy as you age.

Not that I lost interest, it's just that I don't have a lot of free time these days. I haven't watched any anime that aired within the past few years.
Wish I could catch up because I've heard of some good shows like Frieren.

Honestly, I have kind of lost interest in watching anime. I still read a ton of Manga, but I have found that I can clear a few hundred chapters and get the story in just a few hours while that would be 1 or 2 eps.
I think it changed when my job shifted and I had time to read manga but not watch shows and it just kinda stuck with me.

I did for a bit. I was watching many and then started partying hard and I lost interest in warching or reading manga. After I got more or less sober I started watching again. It was really nice and now I’m hooked again.

Most of the new shows are just isekai or shounen junkfood which eventually gets super boring. Also the school life japan thing has become old at this point. I mostly read web comics and manga nowadays.
