Discord bot with hidden mutual servers - sickna9191 - Oct 3, 2025

So I recently found out that there is a new trick to hide mutual servers on your bot, did anybody hear about it?

I recently got an message from couple of bots that advertise their new discord, and when I tried to check from which server it came to me I was surprised because it shows "No mutual servers" which means we do not share any at all.

- I did not have open DMs before with this bot.
- I do not have it in friend list.
- The bot did not leave any shared server right after he sent the message.

I would appreciate if anybody has any idea how thats done because chatgpt fails to answer so im asking the real big brains here, this seems like a new trick.

Bots can join groups, grab IDs, spam messages, etc. They can leave the server, get kicked, etc. Depending on how many bots they have & rate limits, it's possible you are checking for mutual servers w/ them already gone.
