I forget how people were scamming it. But I remember realising they were. I found this blog about it but it doesn't mention the scamming.

I spent a lot of time on coffeebreakarcade. It is not at all what it was before, so that why I'd bring it back.

The only site I can think of is Plug.DJ. It was pretty cool to idle in rooms with people who shared my music taste, and I discovered a lot of new songs through that site.

Oooh that one actually sounds super cool! It's a great way to discover & share music within your own little niche.

It was a very well-implemented site, but they somehow lacked funds, which caused the site to shut down in 2015. It baffles me, though, because a lot of people paid money for cosmetics and other features.

Damn. Maybe they had some bad luck or someone did an exit "scam" ?
