how to deal with a scam/Scammer ? - solidkane - Oct 8, 2025 How do you deal with a scammer who posts a product or service here on H, convinces you to deal with them outside of HF contract and then fails to deliver the product/Service. Note that they still have their service/Product being advertised here on HF and lots of people also confirm getting scammed. ? I am not accusing of a complicity, but its funny how anytime you post on the scammers thread of how you were scammed, there is always a warning by HF admins. Let the money you lost be a lesson. It’s unfortunate. Also. This thread is posted the wrong place. You no doubt got earned for not using a contract. Some people are too much in a hurry to read the rules or bother with following them, then complain on the sales thread, which isn't the proper way to resolve disputes. Just report him ، and never deal outside or without contract RE: how to deal with a scam/Scammer ? - Mr. Node.js - Oct 10, 2025 (Oct 8, 2025 06:31 PM)solidkane Wrote: How do you deal with a scammer who posts a product or service here on H, convinces you to deal with them outside of HF contract and then fails to deliver the product/Service. The best move is never to deal outside the HF contract system , that’s literally the only protection you have here. If someone’s still openly advertising after confirmed scam reports, that’s definitely something the mods should look into more seriously. Posting proof through the proper dispute/report channels (instead of public replies) usually gets better results and avoids those admin warnings. RE: how to deal with a scam/Scammer ? - Cap - Oct 17, 2025 This is why we always strongly encourage you to use the HF contract system. It helps protect you and others, allows deal disputes, and can leave feedback on a product. Essentially if there’s no contract, your options for dealing with a scammer are minimal.
