Whats the dumbest thing you believed as a kid? - Fish - Oct 9, 2025
When I was 7, I was absolutely convinced that if I swallowed a watermelon seed, a watermelon would grow in my stomach. My mom caught me staring at my stomach for hours, waiting for it to happen. I’m still not sure if she ever stopped laughing.

That’s such a classic childhood belief! I can totally picture you waiting for the “watermelon bump” to appear. It’s crazy how seriously we took those things as kids.😂

Oh man.
My mom worked for a doctors office, and she told me that when people don't eat, their stomach comes out of their ear. Fast forward to me being 14 and my step sister had something in her ear and I asked my step mom if she had ate lately because it could be her stomach. I said with all the confidence in the world.

LOL. My childhood best friend believed the same thing regarding eating strawberries.
Oh God, I can't believe I'm admitting this, but I have a very blurry and fragmented memory of being placed in a shopping cart as a baby or very young toddler and thinking black people were made of chocolate.
