Would you survive in the wild? - onlineuser | D3RFER - Oct 12, 2025 If you were dropped into the middle of the forest with no phone, no tools, and no food, how long do you think you last? Could you build shelter, find water, start a fire, or hunt for food? Most people today wouldn’t even make it a week. What’s the first thing you’d do to survive? I do believe I survive and probably thrive there. I’m a big nerd within IT, but so am I within nature and living outside, I would be good for sure. RE: Would you survive in the wild? - Deany - Oct 12, 2025 Nope I would be cooked RE: Would you survive in the wild? - onlineuser | D3RFER - Oct 12, 2025 (Oct 12, 2025 04:45 PM)Deany Wrote: Nope I would be cooked How are you not bothered by that? RE: Would you survive in the wild? - oвѕervanт - Oct 12, 2025 Hopefully my Minecraft knowledge will come in handy RE: Would you survive in the wild? - Prepper - Oct 12, 2025 Eastern woodlands yes, I could survive a long time. True, the place does matter RE: Would you survive in the wild? - Prepper - Oct 12, 2025 (Oct 12, 2025 05:07 PM)onlineuser Wrote: True, the place does matter Yep you have to know the area, the wild edibles, the wildlife, medicinal plants, etc all of which depends on the location, I grew up in the eastern woodlands area, been in the woods, have books on the medicinal/wild edibles of which I read. The great plains, great basin, south west, northwest all have different environments compared to the eastern woodlands of which I have not studied into nor have real life experience in. Bushcraft, hunting and camping also build up those skills, everyone should do it. RE: Would you survive in the wild? - Palestine - Oct 12, 2025 I think it depends where but if it's around a river and full of wild life (potential food) then definitely could survive if not thrive, but I've been to some woods that had absolutely no wild life and no rivers nearby so that'd be incredibly more difficult RE: Would you survive in the wild? - Oh_Well - Oct 13, 2025 I could, although I'd struggle at first to get on a rythm and stick to a schedule, but eventually I believe I'd get pretty good RE: Would you survive in the wild? - Jamika - Oct 13, 2025 I think iam good fighter , i would survive yes RE: Would you survive in the wild? - Charlie Sheen - Oct 13, 2025 Depends on how long. I could probably make it a few weeks. RE: Would you survive in the wild? - RangoWorld - Oct 13, 2025 I'd like to think that anyone who can survive past a week can survive for many months. Otherwise people won't make it past the first week. Personally I would like to think I can survive for months. You need to know how to build the following: Tools Shelter Fire You also need to know how to hunt and trap as well as know the wild edibles and medicinal plants in your area. For example willow trees are native to the eastern woodlands, the bark of the willow tree is a pain reliever and fever reduces, it is literally the original aspirin before it was synthesized. Ginseng is another one that has immune support, it can help lower blood sugar, and some studies link it to heart benefits. In my area we have a lot of wild berries many of which are edible, some of which are poison, same with mushrooms, personally I don't like to fuck with mushrooms. |
