PSA: How to use GPT5 for DEEP ANALYSIS in the Crypto Sub Forum - Hackers - Oct 15, 2025

Thank you Envy for the inspiration. I've never used AI in this sub-forum, you absolute unit, but you have INSPIRED me to make my threads even greater, with AI.

Envy does a great job of using AI in his posts, mixing it in with his original thoughts, to make it one cohesive post. I applaud his use of AI in this forum!
I'm not well practiced in this area, so my AI's response is separated by an hr divider below for people to read through.

You brought up a great point for deep analysis.

GPT5 is great at deep thinking.

Here's a tutorial on how to create an article for Crypto Currency using AI!

prompt 1:
Quote:i need a comprehensive analysis of the last 7 days of cryptocurrency markets

GPT confirmed requirements...

prompt 2:
Quote:yes, and return in bbcode for mybb forum so i can copy to forum

It has been "thinking" for about 8 minutes now
[Image: dxaVOkZ.png]

When I spend time writing analysis that I did with my own TA, which also is in line with my wallet... To then be accused, blocked, etc. There is only one thing to do when you have not done something, but you are accused of it anyways - do it!

I look forward to sharing my findings from GPT5 deep thinking. When sharing AI, always make sure to notify people that it is AI. This is extremely important for credibility, and something I strongly believe in. However, don't be afraid to use AI for analysis. I usually don't for price movements in short-term because it's slower than reading a chart, but for analyzing news media across dozens of sources, it can be helpful!

Man, I wrote all of this and GPT5 isn't even done.

It might've been easier to just read the news & charts! I'll do that while we wait.

SUI needs to show some strength - did any of you hit that $2 or sub-2 price the other day?
$2.5 looks like a good spot to buy, with some solid support on the bounce back up, if we drop down.

I am bullish and will likely snipe up some more

You can view this chart here:
https://www.tradingview.com/chart/?symbol=COINBASE%3ASUIUSD

As you will note on TV, it's extremely easy to start doing your own TA.
The tooling is easy to use & I recommend TradingView for this reason.
I have used several others in the past, but my favorite disappeared :(

We're almost done with GPT5 - It does take ages, far longer than it can take to write up a whole post with some shared screenshots from TV. However, because it's too easy to do your own TA and share your thoughts, I think that it's worth the wait. Adding to this thread with thoughts from GPT5 will be a great way to enhance the sub-forum.

What do you think of its deep analysis?

Crypto Market Weekly Analysis (Oct 8 – Oct 15, 2025)

Overview:
In the past week, the cryptocurrency market saw extreme volatility. Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) began near record highs, but a sudden crash mid-week wiped out billions before partial recovery. Major assets like BTC, ETH, and Solana (SOL) ended the 7-day span slightly lower overall, while market sentiment turned more cautious.

Price Movements & Market Capitalization:
  • []Bitcoin (BTC): Fell about 8.4% over the last 7 days
    coinbase.com
. BTC briefly plummeted below $110,000 during a flash crash on Oct. 10
    investopedia.com
    , hitting lows around $104.8k
    reuters.com
    , then rebounded above $112k by mid-week
    investopedia.com
. It remains below its Oct 6 all-time high (~$126k) but holds a market cap of ~$2.24 trillion
    coinbase.com
    .
[]Ethereum (ETH): Dropped roughly 8.9% week-on-week
    coinbase.com
. ETH fell over 12% at one point to about $3,436 during the sell-off
    reuters.com
, but recovered to the $4,100 level later
    cryptonews.com
. Its market capitalization is near $495 billion
    coinbase.com
    .
[]Solana (SOL): Decreased ~8.5% this week
    coinbase.com
. SOL saw double-digit intraday declines amid the turmoil
    investopedia.com
, with prices dislocating by as much as $20 between exchanges at the peak of panic
    investopedia.com
    . By mid-week, Solana stabilized around ~$203
    coinbase.com
, with a market cap about $111 billion.
[]Overall Market: The total crypto market cap is approximately $3.98 trillion as of Wednesday, up after a mid-week bounce
    cryptonews.com
. However, during the worst of the crash it shed roughly 4% (about $170B in value) in a single day
    marketpulse.com
. The market has since clawed back most losses but remains slightly below its early-week peak.

Trading Volume Trends:

  • [] The sell-off triggered a massive spike in trading activity. Nearly $19.3 billion in leveraged positions were liquidated within 24 hours during the crash – the largest one-day wipeout on record
    investopedia.com
    bravenewcoin.com
. Around 1.6–1.7 million traders saw positions wiped out in that period.
[] 24-hour trading volumes remain elevated. Total crypto volume on Wednesday reached ~$246 billion
    cryptonews.com
. Bitcoin alone saw about $85 billion traded in 24h
    coinbase.com
, with $59.5 billion for Ethereum
    coinbase.com
and roughly $11 billion for Solana
    coinbase.com
. These figures are significantly higher than typical daily volumes, reflecting the recent volatility.

  • Exchange outages and liquidity crunches were noted at peak volatility. For example, Binance recorded over $2.4B in long/short positions liquidated and even saw certain tokens (like a SOL staking token) momentarily free-fall in price (BNSOL plunged ~75% during the chaos)
    bravenewcoin.com
. Such anomalies further boosted trading volumes as arbitrageurs and opportunistic traders rushed in.

Key Technical Indicators & Chart Signals:

Bitcoin: Technicals reflect the rollercoaster. BTC’s daily Relative Strength Index (RSI) briefly dipped toward oversold levels (~30) during the crash, hinting at a potential bottoming-out
blog.mexc.com
. On the weekly chart, however, RSI remains in the mid-40s (neither overbought nor deeply oversold)
blog.mexc.com
, suggesting the long-term uptrend is intact. The MACD momentum indicator turned bearish on daily timeframes (negative histogram) after the drop
blog.mexc.com
, indicating weakening short-term momentum. Key support around ~$105,000 held firm (Friday’s low was ~$104,783)
reuters.com
, and the major 50-week moving average near $100,000 continues to act as strong support
blog.mexc.com
. Overhead, BTC faces resistance at ~$114K (an intraday pivot) and $119K (last week’s high)
cryptonews.com
; a break above ~$120K would open the door to retest the ATH region around $125–130K
cryptonews.com
. On the downside, if $109K and $105K give way, the next critical support is around $100K
blog.mexc.com
.

Ethereum: ETH’s RSI also flashed oversold after plunging below $3,500, registering around the 30 mark (a level that often precedes bounces)
blog.mexc.com
. Its MACD remains in bearish territory, showing lingering downward momentum
blog.mexc.com
. Ethereum found support near the $3,900–$4,000 zone, which has held recent declines
blog.mexc.com
. Analysts see immediate resistance at ~$4,100–$4,200 (the top of a descending triangle pattern)
blog.mexc.com
– a break above that could target $4,350 and $4,500 next
cryptonews.com
. Conversely, a drop back below ~$3,900 would signal vulnerability, with stronger support noted around $3,750 and then $3,300–$3,500 if selling pressure returns
blog.mexc.com
.

Solana: SOL’s chart turned shaky after failing to break a key ceiling. The coin put in a lower high at ~$237, falling short of its late-September peak near $253
marketpulse.com
. This lower high and a triple-top test of an uptrend channel signaled weakening bullish momentum
marketpulse.com
. Support emerged in the high-$180s – SOL’s price dipped to about $191 at its 24h low this week
coinbase.com
. That ~$190 level now serves as immediate support. To the upside, Solana needs to clear ~$237 again to resume its uptrend
marketpulse.com
; beyond that, $250+ remains a tough resistance area (its recent ATH zone). Overall, SOL likely requires a “broad positive mood” in the crypto market to push to new highs, as one analyst noted
marketpulse.com
.

Broader Market: Despite the sudden drop, most top altcoins are still hovering near their cycle highs and haven’t shown definitive signs of capitulation
marketpulse.com
. Bitcoin’s dominance ticked up as capital rotated from riskier alts into BTC during the turmoil
reuters.com
, reflecting a flight to quality. The market as a whole is consolidating after the wild swings, awaiting a clear breakout (or breakdown) as traders digest the week’s events.

Major News & Developments:
  • Record Liquidation Event: The trigger for the week’s turmoil was an escalation in U.S.–China trade tensions. On Friday (Oct 10), former President Donald Trump announced a 100% tariff on Chinese imports, sparking a panic sell-off
    investopedia.com
. This led to the largest single-day crypto liquidation in history – over $19 billion in leveraged bets were wiped out in about 24 hours, affecting roughly 1.6 million traders
    investopedia.com
. Bitcoin plunged more than 14% from its highs, momentarily bottoming out around $104.8K
    reuters.com
, and Ethereum dropped 12% to roughly $3,436 at its low
    reuters.com
. Many smaller altcoins crashed even harder (some lesser-known tokens lost up to ~80% of their value)
    investopedia.com
    investopedia.com
. The crypto market as a whole shed nearly $200B in value within hours during this flash crash
    bravenewcoin.com
    .

  • Central Bank Policy Relief: Shortly after the crash, a signal of dovish policy helped markets bounce. U.S. Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell hinted on Oct 14 that the Fed could end its balance sheet reduction (QT) within months and even left open the possibility of future interest rate cuts
    cryptonews.com
. This news was interpreted as bullish for risk assets. Crypto prices reacted positively, with analysts calling Powell’s comments “super mega bullish for Bitcoin and alts”
    cryptonews.com
. The prospect of easier monetary policy provided a tailwind that stabilized prices by mid-week.

  • Institutional Endorsements: Over the weekend, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink publicly defended Bitcoin, comparing it to gold and affirming “there is a role for crypto in the same way there is a role for gold” in investors’ portfolios
    investopedia.com
. This high-profile support from the head of the world’s largest asset manager lent credibility to crypto as an asset class during a shaky moment. Additionally, by Tuesday, newly launched U.S. spot Bitcoin and Ether ETFs saw funds returning – about $102.6M of inflows into BTC ETFs and $236M into ETH ETFs – after experiencing outflows during the crash days
    cryptonews.com
. These inflows suggest some institutional investors seized the opportunity to “buy the dip.”

  • CME Launches SOL & XRP Options: In a notable development, CME Group (the leading derivatives exchange) expanded its crypto offerings by launching options on Solana and XRP futures this week. The first Solana options trade was executed on Oct 13 between trading firms Cumberland (DRW) and Galaxy Digital
    prnewswire.com
    prnewswire.com
. This marks the debut of SOL options on a regulated exchange, indicating growing institutional interest beyond just BTC and ETH. Market participants have welcomed these new instruments, as they provide additional tools for hedging and speculation, reflecting a maturing crypto derivatives market.

  • Exchange Stability Concerns: The weekend crash exposed issues at major trading venues. Some exchanges struggled to handle the volatility – for example, Binance saw several tokens suddenly “depeg” in price during the chaos (its USDe stablecoin fell to ~$0.66, a staked SOL token crashed to ~$34.90, etc.)
    bravenewcoin.com
. Binance’s systems became overloaded, and the exchange temporarily halted certain trading activities. The CEO issued a public apology and Binance moved to compensate users who suffered losses due to exchange malfunctions during the crash
    bravenewcoin.com
    bravenewcoin.com
. Industry figures have since called for stronger oversight and safeguards; Crypto.com’s CEO urged regulators to investigate exchanges with abnormally high liquidation volumes to ensure fairness and stability
    bravenewcoin.com
. The incident underscored the need for robust risk controls, prompting renewed discussions about exchange regulation
    cryptonews.com
    .

Market Sentiment Analysis:
  • Fear Index Turns Cautious: The market’s sentiment has shifted to caution. The popular crypto Fear & Greed Index slipped into the “fear” zone, falling from 42 to 37 after the crash
    cryptonews.com
. This indicates a clear increase in fear and risk-aversion among investors in the short term.

  • Hedging in Derivatives: Traders are actively hedging against further declines. In Bitcoin options markets, there was a surge in put buying at strike prices of ~$115K and even down to $95K for late-October expiries
    reuters.com
. Similarly, for Ether, traders focused on protective puts around $4,000 (October expiry) and $3,600, and some even bought deep-out-of-the-money puts (e.g. $2,600 strikes for December)
    reuters.com
. This defensive positioning shows that many are seeking downside protection and bracing for potential more volatility ahead.

  • Rotation to Quality: On-chain data suggests investors are rotating funds within crypto rather than exiting entirely. Notably, Bitcoin inflows held up well through the turmoil – a leading analyst noted BTC investor flows “have been holding up well” even as prices fell
    reuters.com
. In contrast, capital appears to be moving out of riskier altcoins (like Ether and Solana) and into Bitcoin
    reuters.com
. This flight-to-quality behavior implies that while sentiment toward altcoins is shaky, confidence in Bitcoin as a crypto safe haven remains relatively strong.

  • Mixed Social Sentiment: Within the crypto community, sentiment is divided. Many traders are licking their wounds and remain anxious about another downturn, but there are also optimistic voices pointing to silver linings. Some see the massive liquidation as a “necessary reset” that flushed out excess leverage – for instance, analysts at Glassnode noted that despite the futures “flush,” call option demand still dominates and many investors are positioning for BTC in the $115K–$130K range, suggesting the drawdown was viewed as a temporary leveraged washout
    cryptonews.com
. Influencers on social media also highlighted positive signs, like the quick rebound from $105K and the Fed’s policy hints, as reasons to stay bullish
    cryptonews.com
. Meanwhile, endorsements from figures like BlackRock’s Fink provide a longer-term confidence boost
    investopedia.com
. Overall, the short-term mood is wary, but there is an undercurrent of resilience and longer-term optimism that the crypto bull cycle is not over yet.

You're hilarious - gotta be one of the biggest dorks on this forum.

Continue to make yourself look like a fool even after the dust has settled.

Man, you're wrong, you look like a fool. I called my buys based on my own TA, I bought each time, sold each time I said.

You are a broken record, and I don't need to prove myself to you, but I have done so.

Go on, continue to block people after you msg them BS, and close threads after you reply with bullshit.

You're a joke, kid.

I have never once used AI to fake my posts on this forum. I don't respect people that falsely accuse and ignore responses. I certainly don't respect you.

The fact that you think my very simple language in my crypto threads is "AI" just shows how little you can write or produce yourself.

Even your comparison shows it. That's the most bull AI detection I've ever seen. If you don't know how to write English, fucking say it.
You're clearly unfamiliar with basic terms so you should excuse yourself.

Ranges - not a hard concept
Timing and time in the market - the most fucking advisable advice that millions of people have said
Don't time bottom / top - again, fucking elementary
Risk management - if this is "AI" to you, you clearly don't manage risk well yourself

The fact that you think these BUSINESS 101 entry level phrases prove "ai" shows how fucking stupid you are.

You've exposed yourself, honestly man. I don't see how you can come back from this. If this "proves AI", then you're unqualified to be in this forum. Lmao, honestly man... You're saying people are AI because they use basic language that has been normalized for decades.

Change your name to Illiterate, or Incompetent, we know you envy people, but please try harder. It's cringe.

Edited your posts and decided to pull your pants up and start writing a bit more of your own stuff, congratulations.
