Solution to virtual machine virtualization for Windows 10 Home - Root2 - Oct 15, 2025

Hello, I'm looking for a solution to run a virtual machine as vWare, but I can't. I have the option to virtualize with F2 enabled. Is there a solution? I'll leave the features of the Lenovo netbook.

FEATURES:

Processor: Intel® Pentium® CPU 8940 @ 2.00 GHz
Installed RAM: 4.00 GB
System Type: 64-bit x64
Version: 22H2

Your solution is a new laptop. You will kill that netbook with VMware or any other hypervisor. I don't know what your financial situation is, but I wouldn't run ONE instance of W10 on that.

There are two types of hypervisor. VMware (Workstation) is a type II (which means it's an app runinng on a system), while type I are called "bare-metal" and are directly installed on the hardware, so you don't need an OS to run it that will consume resources (like VMware Esxi, or Proxmox).

However, the specs of this machine are very low, it depends what you want to run as VM. You could run a couple of Linux machine without desktop environment, but don't expect to run Windows machines
