Why is soundcloud trash? - Rsynced - Oct 16, 2025 EDIT: I FIXED IT! Directions are wrong on their own website lmao... Now I try to play a track from MY OWN PROFILE, wow an AD? NICE So I am trying to remove a repost from some turd lamer switch out repost baiter. (well now I know how he so many view etc) Not sure why I want to be on some platform that is nothing but a scam, daily I get messages from fraudsters pretending to be recording companies etc, I had some fun with the dude from Sony Records, lmao, but ya what a waste of time... Ya, I can not do it, it ruined my page :( https://soundcloud.com/rsynced I ask chatGPT at this point and have decided to leave soundcloud.com for good! I click repost to remove repost and it made this guys tracks spam my fucking page! WOW I HAVE HAD IT, WTF? IT'S TRASH! FUCK EM' WASTE OF TIME đ
AI Quote: how do i remive a repost from from profile https://soundcloud.com/rsynced
ChatGPT said: Hereâs how to remove a repost from your SoundCloud profile (works both on desktop and mobile browser): đĽď¸ On Desktop (soundcloud.com) Go to your SoundCloud profile â https://soundcloud.com/rsynced . Scroll to the âAllâ or âRepostsâ tab â this shows tracks youâve reposted. Find the reposted track you want to remove. Hover your mouse over the âRepostâ (đ) icon â it should be orange. Click it once â it will turn gray, meaning the repost is removed. â The track will immediately disappear from your profileâs repost section and stream. đą On Mobile App Open the SoundCloud app. Go to your profile â tap Reposts or scroll down to the reposted track. Tap the orange repost (đ) button again â it turns gray. â ď¸ Notes Removing a repost doesnât delete the original track â it just removes your share of it. If you donât see the reposted track, check the âAllâ tab (some tracks may be mixed in with your uploads). Would you like me to show the exact steps visually (with screenshot-style mockups) for the web or mobile version? You said: this does not work On Desktop (soundcloud.com), nothing works, why is soundcloud trash? what is a better choice? ChatGPT said: Hey â youâre not alone in being frustrated with this. Lots of users report SoundCloud being glitchy, support being slow, and repost/remove features being buggy. I dug into what people have found and what alternatives might be better. I can help you pick one that fits you too, if you want. đŹ Whatâs wrong with SoundCloud (from what people are saying) Some of the downsides people are citing: Reposts donât always disappear immediately after you âun-repostâ. It stays visible sometimes, especially in feeds. +2 +2 Their support is often described as slow or unhelpful â people complain about requests/tickets taking forever. Trustpilot +2 +2 Discovery / algorithm issues: plenty of reposts cluttering feeds, so itâs hard to find new content by artists you follow. +2 +2 Sometimes audio quality is reportedly worse than on other platforms (compression, upload quality, etc.). djing.com +1 So yeah, it's not always âtrashâ, but there are real issues. đ Alternatives to SoundCloud Depending on what you need (uploading, discovery, paying/earning, community, etc.), some other platforms do parts of what SoundCloud does, sometimes better. Here are some good ones: Platform Good for⌠Trade-offs / what you lose vs SC Audiomack Emerging artists, free uploads, good exposure, simple creator tools. Wikipedia Might have fewer listeners depending on your genre; less premium reach than Spotify/Apple Music; maybe fewer features for detailed analytics. Bandcamp Direct-to-fan sales, high quality audio, very artist-friendly (merch, etc.). Great for people who want to own their work and sell it. Techlogitic +1 Less built-in social/discovery network; fewer listeners just browsing vs streaming-first services; less free streaming unless you set it up that way. Apple Music / Spotify / Amazon Music / YouTube Music Huge audience reach, polished apps, good discovery tools. More gatekeepers; often more cost or subscription model; you may need a distributor; less âindie-community feelâ than SC. Bandzoogle If you want to build your own website, sell merch, control your brand. Wikipedia Doesnât solve discovery as SC does; youâll have to bring in your audience rather than rely on the platform showing your stuff to new people. Other niche or emerging platforms might be good depending on genre (e.g. for hip-hop, rap, electronic, etc.). Also look for platforms with good audio fidelity if that matters to you. If you tell me: what features matter most to you (e.g. uploading freely, ability to sell music / monetization, community / discovery, high quality audio, being free vs cheap), I can suggest 2-3 platforms that might suit you best. Do you want me to do that? RE: Why is soundcloud trash? - PacketPilot - Oct 22, 2025 Itâs not all bad, but the ads and random glitches can be annoying. Soundcloud these days is just full of memes and old trash that is just messed up for someones silly jokes. Yeah, itâs kinda sad honestly. It used to be about discovering new talent, now itâs mostly meme edits and random noise. I have a few tracks on Sound cloud and also youtube and I find youtube to be a better platform for it these days even when its filled with so much but at least youtube manages your content correctly (most of the time) RE: Why is soundcloud trash? - PacketPilot - Oct 22, 2025 (Oct 22, 2025 08:31 PM)Mix Wrote: Finding new talent these days is hard. YouTube definitely feels more organized and gives your music a better shot at being seen. SoundCloud just isnât what it used to be. Just feels like a dumping ground these days for dead memes to me so yeah its gone down hill sadly. Itâs lost that creative spark it used to have â now itâs just random stuff for laughs instead of real music. Sad to see happen but I guess soundcloud dont really have to worry as its still making money from ads these days. RE: Why is soundcloud trash? - MadScientist - Oct 22, 2025 Sounds clouds always been trash, atleast from my perspective only seeing the soundcloud rapper side RE: Why is soundcloud trash? - PacketPilot - Oct 22, 2025 (Oct 22, 2025 08:37 PM)Mix Wrote: Sad to see happen but I guess soundcloud dont really have to worry as its still making money from ads these days. True, theyâre still pulling in ad money, so they probably donât care too much. Kinda sucks though, it used to be such a great spot for real artists. I am sure sooner or later a new platform will come around and it will ry and remake the old soundcloud vibe and sadly fail after a year or so. Mark my words lol. That one came and went so fast. Crazy how even with big backing, it just couldnât compete. |
