Am I allowed to make a free best effort leak/breach intelligence service to practice - s1d0w - Oct 25, 2025
If yes should I post in free services and giveaways or any of the hack related? And also how do I ensure compliance of the privacy is to be respected here rule ( should I ask for intent or some proof that the owner allows that ? )
If not then I will go in the sad corner but I understand.

If you're asking about creating a service to check if personal data has been exposed, Staff should be fine with it. You're just up against stiff competition.

My main idea was something like intelx ( since there is nothing worse than having your data exposed but not being able to see what is exposed and ). And also I am attempting to make it as free and open as possible but I was thinking how do I prevent abuse since intelx and similar breach / leak /osint search engines typically place the blame on the person using their services?

You are describing dehashed. It's cheap enough if you are paranoid about what info of yours is out there.
You might as well build it though. Would be cool to see what you creslate.

I haven't really tried dehashed ( I should thanks for the reminder ). But I figured since I am already paying for oath, osintleak, I have a shared intelx account and several more, I could use them to help people that just want to check what exactly has leaked about them ( best effort comes here since I am technically not reinventing the wheel just trying to do my best for free ).
