Could you name your 5 best ones for this year?
I finally got some free time from work and I'm looking to spend some quality time on anime.

I'm not a big fan of Anime, but I was recommended by a friend to watch Solo Leveling. I gave it a try.
Honestly it was really good, didn't really expect it. 10/10

stictly from this year + continuations of end of last year
- apothecary diaries 2 (goated top tier (drama, mystery solving, historical, ancient china, royalty, concubines, slow burn romance))
- grand blue 2 (comedy, idiotic, college, alcholics, nsfw/nudism/sex jokes, scuba diving)
- call of the night 2 (lofi if it was a romance anime, vampires, gorgeous color palette, banger music)
- my dress up darling 2 (adorable cosplay romance, nsfw/lewd)
- silent witch (adorable strongest mage that learned to be the only enchantless mage instead of overcoming social anxiety, funny)
- clevatess (brutal, gore, slavery, abuse, action, fantasy, dark beasts, royalty)
- there's no freaking way I'd be your lover unless (yuri (lesbian) romance that makes more progress in the first 2 ep than most do in an entire season or multiple, nsfw)
- please put them on takamine-san (gooner degeneracy but peak, romance, obviously extremely nsfw)
- orb on the movement of the earth (brutal, raw, gore, graphic torture, death, execution, drama, historical, academics, scholars, astronomy, heliocentrism, religion/churches)
- blue box (romance, love triangle, the girl I rooted for lost, sports, school)

part 1 was ok, had some good stuff
part 2 is garbage
and I def won't bother with anything new after they introduced that cringe fat retard to the main cast at the end
also solo leveling is mid at best just like every manhwa

Lazarus was a very good one this year. Same creator that made Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Shamploo. Don't have many new ones this year but instead continuations. Finally caught up on Dr. Stone and that one was very fun. The way they create things and show the steps on how we made rudimentary versions of things like radar, early communication like cb radio among countless other technological advances. Also has good character development. Edit : I'll also add blue lock. There were so many good anime in 2024. Could name endless ones but that was my favorite. They stumbled on the start of the second season with rushed/lazy animation but got a little better towards the end. First season was perfect.
