Following this curious other options out there with a stable port forwarded port, mine changes port with every IP change / reboot. Preferably multiple ports, mine only allows 1 randomly changing port. Your budget is tiny, and ShockVPN costs as much today as it did a year ago. Sure, why not RE: Cheap vpn for port forwarding? - Replace - Nov 14, 2025 I suggest buying a $1/$2 server with tun/tap enabled and setup openVPN client server and then enable port forwarding yourself. It be cheap, secure and you'll be able to delete the logs yourself. Davis - Nov 19, 2025 If you are going to go VPS route, make sure they offer encryption. It's all well and good being able to delete your own logs, but if your box is unencrypted at the data center level you might be in for a world of fun. Thanks Mr. Frosty for that valuable lesson RE: Cheap vpn for port forwarding? - Replace - Nov 20, 2025 (Nov 18, 2025 09:48 PM)trump002 Wrote: its high cost because i need to purchase dedicated server which i dont have founding as its costly You can just buy a VPS with Tun/Tap enabled and that is all you need. Maximum resources you'll consume with a single PC using the VPN is 512MB/1Core@2Ghz that too at 1Gbps uses! ✌🙃 Good Luck! VPS.AG / Interserver.net (My first when I started a VPN on my own) got it for $0.01 PayPal / month and back then you can just register PayPal from New Zealand and buy a $1 VCC from NZ and activate PayPal Premier account without much effort, send $0.10 and pay $0.01 and walla you get a $0.01 VPS for a month, plus you get 10 days extension to pay as well so its a 40 Days VPS for 1 Cent, suspended, copy the server files and get a new VPS again, this method doesn't work anymore for me as I don't have ways to make unlimited PayPal account from which I can pay 1 Cent, but there is another way using card and you can use any prepaid card over interserver and get this done, just that VCC at cheapest come for $1.25 (Pre-Paid) which has around $1 in balance so the VPS price will be $1.25 ✌🙃 (Nov 18, 2025 09:51 PM)Transporter007 Wrote: Tons of websites giving VPS under 5$. Agreed with the OP, you can just Google some out, alongside, you can also get Google $300 credit for the same purpose and deploy VPS for 3 months and same for linode promotion of $100 ✌ plus linode itself sells servers for $5 as well. We can always encrypt our VPS with a close OS encryption instead of hardware encryption (paying much) and set a bash script to auto-delete set certain folder (set logs) of logs so the logs are also auto-deleted at say 10 mins interval.✌ |
