Finally made it into InfoSec - padrino - Nov 19, 2025
OK, so finally after years of work I've finally managed to make the move into the Cyber Security team at work. I've been a software engineer for years, constantly chasing the dream of place on the team and it never came to be. But, finally the wait is over and I've been transferred across. I'm so happy about it that I just had to share it! Hack Forums has been a big part of my journey in recent years, and I've learnt a lot from many of the contributers on here. So, to everyone who writes guides, answers questions, shares knowledge, and just generally helps their fellow members out - thank you! You never know how much you're helping people (like me) chase the dream.

Benefits are the same, but a nice little pay bump! And I couldn't agree more, happieness is the main goal here!

Congrats man, that's a hell of a milestone. You can receive all the advice in the world but unless you do something with it, it's worthless. You did though it'd seem, remember to pat yourself on the back for actually "running the laps".
