PW Protected Zips - Mini Web App - Prompt/Preview/Source included - Lovable example - Hackers - Nov 21, 2025 FIRST PROMPT: Quote:create a web page that can take any number of file uploads (NO SERVER SAVES / FRONTEND ONLY, FILE BLOBS OR SIMILAR FORMAT). The UI takes an optional final filename (always .zip extension), or if left blank will default to 'archived.zip' . It takes a password, or no password. The user can then save to zip, and it prepares a final .zip compressed archive (frontend only, no backend / server use) with the password (or no password). The user can see the file details and Download. The brand name is "ZipittyDoodah" ![]() ![]() I noticed this note from the first prompt response: Quote:Note: JSZip doesn't support password encryption natively. The password field is ready in the UI, but you'd need an additional encryption library (like jszip-encryption) for true password protection. For now, it shows a toast notification about this. SECOND PROMPT: Quote:add password protection to the zip My next test zip worked like a charm! ![]() I then wanted to perfect it, making sure the UI/UX is not confusing. For example, if you update the data but don't click the create archive button, then the download zip & other features still show the old data. I want a UI that is self-explanatory, so we must use a disabled input state when the archive is created, or hide/show elements for the best UX. I just wrote this paragraph above, so I will use it as the basis for my prompt... THIRD PROMPT: Quote:if you update the data but don't click the create archive button, then the download zip & other features still show the old data. I want a UI that is self-explanatory, so we must use a disabled input state when the archive is created, or hide/show elements for the best UX. This is our last & final update for this project. Voila! It worked like a charm. PREVIEW & SOURCE CODE: Spoiler (Click to View) I hope this thread helps people see how you can quickly & easily prompt for a full mini web build via Lovable.dev for some really useful tooling. Check out my other Lovable prompt examples... I made the last 3 in the last 1 hour, and 1 more before that. All of these only took a few minutes of my time. It took longer to write the threads for HF than it took me to make the websites 100% 100% 100% https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=6314197 https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=6314198 https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=6314201 RE: PW Protected Zips - Mini Web App - Prompt/Preview/Source included - Lovable example - The Pact - Dec 16, 2025 Very large archives will be limited by available browser memory. Keep an eye on the combined size shown in the file list. Most modern tools (7-Zip, WinZip, macOS Archive Utility, Windows Explorer) can open AES-encrypted zips.
