Whats Something You Used To Believe Strongly But Later Changed Your Mind About? - Axelyn - Nov 30, 2025

I was talking with someone recently and it made me realize how much our views change as we get older. We all have something we used to believe with full confidence. It made perfect sense at the time. Then life happened, we learned more, or we just matured and our perspective shifted.

For me, I used to believe that you had to follow a strict path in life or you would fall behind everyone else. Later I realized most people are figuring things out as they go and nobody has everything planned the way it looks from the outside.

So I’m curious what yours is.

What is something you used to believe strongly that you no longer think is true?

Could be about money, people, school, work, success, relationships or anything else.

My mind has changed about every single example you mentioned. Growing up, you mature a lot and have a different outlook without realizing.

It is very important to understand nothing is as straight forward as it seems in all aspects of life.

That is very true. As you get older you realise how much of life is made up of grey areas. Things that felt simple when we were younger end up being way more layered once you actually experience them.

It’s interesting how your outlook shifts without you noticing until you look back at who you used to be. Growing up is basically learning that almost nothing works the way you expected it to.

I believed quitting meant weakness.
Sometimes it is strength.
