Barbie :D

Jokes aside I definitely recommend Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, I think there's three movies in that series but it's not in English although I think they have a dubbed version.

Another good movie is called 23 and it's roughly based on a true story, it's also not in English though it's in German whereas Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is Swedish I believe.

Then there's also the season Mr. Robot which is a must watch in my opinion, Also the movie from 1995 "Hackers" Now that movie's a classic from my childhood.

the season startup is also really good, There's also a couple movies roughly based on Kevin Mitnick's life as well which I thought was pretty good.

Not a movie but you should watch "Baby Reindeer" the series.

Do you want some 1999 recommendations? I went to see a lot of films in 1999 with my late husband because I'd been given a lot of money by another man who randomly fell in love with me. I never even slept with him but he gave me a whole lot of money largely because i never asked him for any money and everybody else did.

So we went to see Fight Club, The Sixth Sense, The Green Mile. and American Beautify, which are all great. Eyes Wide Shut. Notting Hill [less good] The Matrix, Cruel Intentions, Girl, Interrupted, . Being John Malkovich [Really good] The Virgin Suicides, Tarzan [Awesome sound track.] Never Been Kissed, Boys Don't Cry, Mansfield Park,

Can't believe I went to see so many movies at the cinema in 1999 for date night.

You're going to come out as the crazy which lady I know aren't you.
Have you watched Salt Burn? Similar uncomfortable vibes, same with The Substance.

I think, Green Inferno, Terrifier 1, 2, & 3, Human Centipede, but only 1 and 3, I liked the nior nature of 2, but black and white was just that little bit to artsy, 3 was a comedic take on the movies and I loved it. Uh, I am not sure, I gave horror, but with no indication...

We could keep Charlie happy and mention Platoon, Die Hard, Oppenheimer was a good movie, anyhting by Edgar Wright.

I haven't seen any of them. Although hearing about Human Centipede was more than enough.

I highly recommend 3 then if you like horror, the fact it keeps doubling down on the obsurdity of premis, and it's just so great it turns comedy.

Highly suggest Salt Burn, love alot about it, camera work, the story... The story. If you've not heard anything about it, highly suggest. It will seriously fuck you up, but kinda like Eden Lake does, or Funny Games (both versions), it's carzy.

If you're looking for something classic you could watch Shawshank Redemption. One of the best prison movies out there and just good overall.

How to train your dragon was probably the best generic movie that came out this year.

That's a difficult question to answer without knowing what your interests are. Which movie have you already seen which you enjoyed? We can find similar ones if not better.
