Is the Global Economy Quietly Entering a New Commodity Super cycle?!! - DrowRanger - Dec 5, 2025 Lately I’ve been looking at different indicators across metals, energy, and global liquidity — and honestly, the charts look stranger than anything we’ve seen in the last two decades. Gold hitting new highs makes sense… But copper, aluminum, silver, and even some agriculture futures are starting to move like we’re entering a new demand cycle. In 2000–2011 we had the last major commodity supercycle driven by China’s industrial expansion. Now the question is: Are we entering a NEW super cycle… or is this just temporary chaos caused by inflation + geopolitical instability? Because right now we’re seeing: China quietly buying massive amounts of gold BRICS countries increasing commodity reserves Record-low mining investments in the last 8 years Western governments increasing deficit spending Supply chains shifting out of Asia USD liquidity tightening then suddenly easing again It feels like the market is being pulled in two opposite directions at once. My view: If this is the beginning of a new commodity cycle, we’re still extremely early — especially in metals like copper, silver, and rare minerals tied to energy and tech manufacturing. But I’m curious what others here think: Do you see this as a real, structural supercycle starting… or just volatility before the next recession? I wanna hear different perspectives — macro, trading, metals, even crypto views welcome |
