How to remotely Factory Reset a stolen android that doesn't have any pre-existing rem - TheNeoOne - Dec 14, 2025 I had a phone stolen, and while I have remotely logged out of all accounts, there is personal data including banking data stored locally. I want to remotely factory reset the phone. I would pay for someone to do this in the case that there is not easy way. Thanks in advance. No, this would fall under the exploit that you won't find, though, how sure are you it's not on, because Google make it very apparent that they want you to have it on when doing the OOBE for most modern phones. RE: How to remotely Factory Reset a stolen android that doesn't have any pre-existing rem - TheNeoOne - Dec 14, 2025 Seems like my issue is solved regardless of me being careless and not having anything setup in advance... As soon as I got home from it being stolen, I remotely logged out of all accounts on my phone vis revoking sessions from a trusted device (aka my laptop). Because of this I figured I was snookered save for paying someone to use a remote administration tool. However, 30 min after I had the phone stolen, there was a timestamped email that a samsung account had been linked to my gmail account. At the time I thought nothing of it because I had revoked all gmail sessions so there was nothing there and a samsung account on a phone in someones hand doesn't make things any worse for me... it just gets better.. they set up 2fa WITH MY PHONE NUMBER AND EMAIL... when I realized today that samsung had smartthingsfind, I fought my way into the account (simply bypassing the device verification that was going to the stolen phone for 2fa and redirecting it to email. The big fight was getting all my archaic tech to work the smartthingsfind webapp. In the end, as soon as that phone is connected to a network, it will be locked and factory reset. Thank god for the dumbest thief ever. Likely was trying to get into my samsung account to prevent using find my device tech, and instead he enabled it to be possible RE: How to remotely Factory Reset a stolen android that doesn't have any pre-existing rem - proggert34 - Jan 27, 2026 Use Gmail to reset your session. |
