Chiefs Eliminated from Playoff Contention in Loss to Chargers - JoshAllen - Dec 16, 2025 For the first time since 2014, the Chiefs will not make it to playoffs after their loss to the chargers this weekend. The Chiefs also lost their quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, due to a torn ACL. The injury occurred during a potential game winning drive or possible tie taking the game into overtime, trailing by only 3 points. Mahomes will be out for the remainder of the season, but also may be out partially or fully next season. In addition, the Chiefs lost offensive tackle Jaylon Moore and wide receiver Tyquan Thornton to injury on Sunday. RE: Chiefs Eliminated from Playoff Contention in Loss to Chargers - Charlie Sheen - Dec 18, 2025 I saw he had surgery in Texas this week. That doctor he used I think it was Anderson is phenomenal at ACL reconstruction. Given how little Patrick has been running these last few seasons I am willing to bet he starts the season opener. He's very competitive and would wear a brace if needed. As far as the elimination goes, I think this was always bound to happen. They haven't had a star receiver since Tyreek and Kelce was helping carry the team but age and distractions off field have gotten the best of him now. They need to trade for someone like AJ Brown, someone who can get behind the defense. They have been horrible at drafting receivers imo. If they had a decent run game with a player who can hit the home run shots, it'll allow the play-action passes to open up. Pacheco was emerging as a decent workhorse back until his injury, sadly its been a timeshare with Hunt. |
