Electrum Wallet Help - King Shroom - Jan 11, 2026

Hi there guys I just need a bit of advice on the electrum wallet to use to receive funds.

Now all it is with the updates its changed to a new layout and wanted to know what address I use.

With the new version it has a tab with onechain on it and when clicked it gives you one address.

There is another tab with 30 addresses on it so it confused me which one I should use.

Do i just use the onechain address or any of the 30 from the other list?

This is the Onechain tab

If no one specified about Lightning Network, you should use onchain. If you are not sure just delete every wallet generated (if you didnt use them at all) and just create another onchain.

Onchain means the BTC chain tho, so dont worry. Also dont worry about using one of the 30 ones, there are unlimited addresses for every seed so no problem in deleting them if you didnt use them.

Yes, use onchain unless specifically told the payment will be lightning.

Yes, you may use any of the addresses from that list, Electrum by default generates you many addresses. Your private key / seed phrase that you saved can restore any of these addresses.

Everything that trashy recommended is accurate.

Safe to use either. I always use the address list and label them as they are used. Note the labels are local only, they are not sent to the ledger.

All of those addresses are yours to use. I would use the top down, and avoid reusing addresses. It should automatically select a new address as your receiving address l.

Discontinue using this wallet/seed, create a new seed and use that one. Everyone here has seen your Bitcoin addresses and can monitor and track your activity. Don’t share images of the wallet/addresses.
