Title: Accidentally accessed something I shouldnt have at work - dhobs - Feb 1, 2026 Title: Accidentally accessed something I shouldn’t have at work Not going to go into too many details, but earlier this week I was helping fix a minor issue at work and ended up clicking through a few internal pages I wasn’t familiar with. One of them had data that definitely wasn’t meant for regular employees. Nothing illegal, but enough that it made me close the tab immediately and pretend I never saw it. Now I can’t stop thinking about whether logs get checked or if I’m just being paranoid. Anyone else ever stumble into something like this and nothing came of it? Maybe talk to your GP about it. RE: Title: Accidentally accessed something I shouldnt have at work - newproject20256 - Feb 8, 2026 Speak to some IT team for that. RE: Title: Accidentally accessed something I shouldnt have at work - DelTex - Feb 8, 2026 Not gonna lie, story sounds so fake. If it were real, my first advice would be not to ask strangers on the internet for advice on something that may pertain to your job security - defiantly not any of the lounge-goers that is (no disrespect fellas, we're not here to give advice that could affect someone's livelihood though.) Do some research about who (internal or external) you could report whatever you saw to, and decide if that's a path you really want to go down. If not, stay in your lane - keep on as you were - and stay safe. |
