Merge Website Construction & Showcase/Reviews - "Web Design & Development" - Hackers - Feb 10, 2026
A new forum title of "Web Design & Development" will target more users for SEO keywords. Website construction and website showcase are not high volume search phrases.
Also, the web construction forum has the bottom of page 1 showing threads from August 2025, and showcase/reviews has posts from June 2025 in page 1. For these two great reasons, the forums should be merged together.
Merge these two forums together for SEO benefits & optics:
Website Showcase and Reviews
Website Construction
... and Web Development

Suppose you're not wrong but I'm not in the mood for more forum shuffling. It's a bit of a pain in the ass.

What about pausing on merging and just doing a rename to 'Website Development' instead of Construction for SEO?
Showcase & reviews COULD be Website Design but not sure if it fits 100%... The construction/dev word change seems a lot more straightforward and worth doing if you have the time.

I don't think we get any SEO traffic to these forums. They have almost no new threads. I don't think renaming or merging or any action would change that very much.
