Living For a Greater Purpose - Oracle Services - Feb 11, 2026 ![]() When vision goes beyond what is narrowly perceived (Narrow as in limited to an individual's own physical awareness), the mission and purpose grow greater than what's only present or potentially proven by the ego (Where the ego here is selfish with a 3rd-dimensional limit).
![]() Do you think the concept of "living for a greater purpose" is valid through this perspective? Or would you look at this differently? RE: Living For a Greater Purpose - SIM-4331310 - Feb 12, 2026 Interesting perspective indeed RE: Living For a Greater Purpose - RangoWorld - Feb 12, 2026 I think everyone should strive to live life to the highest purpose they can think of. I also believe that our purpose of life should be beyond us as self. So that we continue to go on that path and never be satisfied. I agree, I also believe that satisfaction has to be linked to the journey itself (Where the journey continuously regenerates the energy flow instead of limiting it to physical milestones, in which I believe are a double-edged sword). My take is that I couldn't have said it better myself RE: Living For a Greater Purpose - R5N3T - Feb 12, 2026 Yeah, I think it makes sense. When you look beyond yourself, life just feels more meaningful than chasing temporary stuff. Everything physical comes and goes, but having a bigger purpose gives you direction. Still, everyone sees that “bigger purpose” in their own way. I agree that meaning comes from what is perceived as "timeless", as well as the part where everyone sees the "bigger purpose" in their own way (Although mostly biased which is inefficient, but no process is strictly "linear"). RE: Living For a Greater Purpose - Andy Walker - Feb 14, 2026 The problem with attaching your life to the physical is that it never affords true joy. It is like a drug. It is a nice high when you buy something nice or go out with friends. Then, it ends, then you go back to the mean. True joy comes with chasing something worth dying for. If you wake up wanting to do it, then that's purpose. It is beyond just physical. It a dream we all love to achieve, whether we're successful or not isn't important. We just want to do it. We will travel through many trials and obstacles to reach it. That's life best lived. Indeed, experiencing life is "beautiful" and the focus doesn't always have to be "task-oriented" in terms of peace only happening when something is complete, that's what technology is for, if you know what I mean. RE: Living For a Greater Purpose - 7 - Feb 27, 2026 Yes 100% it remind me of what i wrote when I was at my lowest which is in this this thread. https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=6313719 Especially the part of shinning your light upon others rather than trying to light up yourself. A torch shines wider when shined upon others and if everyone was to shine on other rather than themselves the world would be a brighter place. RE: Living For a Greater Purpose - DAL-SHA - Feb 27, 2026 Interesting ! Enjoyed reading this thread sir ! ✌ Best of luck with everything you do and I salute you sir ! RE: Living For a Greater Purpose - Exkabal - Feb 27, 2026 I think the idea of living for a greater purpose can be meaningful, but it really depends on how each person defines that purpose. For some it’s spiritual, for others it’s contributing to society, family, or knowledge... I’d say the perspective you described is one way to frame it, but it’s not the only valid lens andd purpose can also be grounded in everyday actions and tangible impact, not just something beyond the physical. RE: Living For a Greater Purpose - RiveR29 - Feb 27, 2026 (Feb 13, 2026 10:57 PM)Oracle Services Wrote: Great to hear. For me there are two types of purpose for humans, collective (Making sure mankind survives and thrives) And then there is the individual. And that depends on the person. For me I have no damn idea of my purpose. Perhaps trying to just survive, or trying to be a productive member of society. The possibilities are endless, I just do not see any purpose in a way, and I am not saying that it is a bad thing. The purpose can change with time, and life in general. I hope I get a purpose someday, or that I find something. Yet as of now I feel like I have no purpose, so ill just go day by day, maybe something pops up. RE: Living For a Greater Purpose - Kisame - Feb 27, 2026 People trying to find purpose in their life, die without a purpose and miss out on life. At least that’s what I think about it. |
