You shouldn't need to. You can check here if you're in one of the few remaining countries using 2G. If you encounter 2G and are somehow forced to downgrade or have only 2G, it's definitely a stingray-type device. It would be pretty cool to see one of those. But you can disable it in your settings or just switch to Android.
