I love resident evil, one of my favorite game series, they made a lot of bad ones like re5 and re6 was ok, I love the new RE7 gameplay, I read it's how they wanted it to be on the PS1 when it first came out.

The Resident Evil franchise has somewhat of a cult following, the combat is great but the story falls short.
RE7 is imo the best in the series, it holds a more cohesive story and a serious tone all throughout.
