What is the difference between Keylogger and Phishing and Malware? - n00b13 - Feb 23, 2026

Phishing means play on the Social engineering side to get the creds

Keylogger just record the stuff the Victim type, not used mainly to get the creds but getting the creds sometime be part of it

malware main idea either to stay silent in the victim pc as long as you can, or the malware steal cookies or plaintext Creds (which also sometimes be called Stealers)

Arent they all share the same goal? which is the creds?

also why some hackers prefer Technical hack, and some prefer social engineering, i believe each one has its own use case

why most popular hacks happened because of Social Engineering? is Social engineering more powerful? or its because the human will be weakest point no matter how secure is the system?

Malware is malicious software. Keyloggers are malware. Malware includes keyloggers and infoslearers and anything that causes damage or bad things.

Not all hackers are the same.
