Windows 2025 Server DataCenter downgrade to Standard Edition - Perleme123 - Mar 5, 2026 Windows 2025 Server DataCenter downgrade to Standard Edition Does anyone know if this is possible to do? Any github or something? RE: Windows 2025 Server DataCenter downgrade to Standard Edition - 5chn4pp - Mar 5, 2026 It's not officially supported, but some still try by using registry hacks. What are you trying to do that requires a downgrade? RE: Windows 2025 Server DataCenter downgrade to Standard Edition - theprox0517 - May 15, 2026 Not officially, no. Microsoft supports going Standard → Datacenter, but Datacenter → Standard is not a supported downgrade path. Run this to confirm: `DISM /online /Get-TargetEditions` If `ServerStandard` does not show up, you can’t convert it cleanly with DISM. The proper fix is usually a backup + clean install of Windows Server Standard. There are some registry/ISO “workarounds” floating around online, but I would not trust that on a production server. It can leave the OS in a weird unsupported state. |
