SHOPIFY Selling Reps = Payment Gateway SUSPENDED ? - REEDIFY - Mar 22, 2026
Hello all ! ✌️
Has anyone here ever had SHOPIFY Stores with payment gateway: Shopify Payments, Stripe (or any other payment processor) blocked because of selling branded products without authorization / license / Replicas etc..
And then:
• Shopify store suspended?
•. Payment gateway suspended?
• funds held or frozen?
Even without counterfeit — just “grey area” reselling.
If it happened to you, I’d love to know:
• what you were selling
• what exactly happened
I feel like this is way more common than people think…

Considering it's a direct violation of their terms to sell replica stuff, you should expect to get banned and funds taken if you try. This is a perfect case of play stupid games win stupid prizes if there ever was one.

But I'm not talking about whether it's allowed or not on Shopify; we know there are many e-commerce sites selling replicas these days. So I was simply asking who has already encountered this problem using Shopify, because Shopify does allow you to sell branded products on your site, but then it all depends on which payment processor you use.

Replicas infringe on brands IP and is also a crime so if shopify detects it they are obviously going to freeze the account ?
No payment processor will knowingly enable you to commit crimes or open themselves up to lawsuits.
