Well, this event actually happened a while ago, but it seems like a lot of people are only finding out about it recently—guess we’re kinda slow, huh? haha
Apparently, someone used Claude and other tools to steal information from the institution responsible for collecting taxes. It sounds crazy to me—I don’t think I fully grasp how much data that really is or how many people it affects, since they’re talking about 150 gigabytes.
Also, I find it interesting that Claude could be used for something like this. Wasn’t it supposed to be really good at detecting manipulation or jailbreak attempts? Or maybe I just don’t know enough about the topic :3

Anthropic should stop bragging about Claude stopping hackers and reporting them.
