Rapper Offset hospitalized after being shot in Florida - Μinimalist - Apr 7, 2026
Hollywood, FloridaAP — The rapper Offset was shot Monday and is stable, according to a spokesperson for the Migos rapper, but his exact condition is unknown.
He is being treated at a hospital and being closely monitored, the spokesperson said in a statement.
Offset was formerly married to Cardi B, with whom he has three children.
The Seminole Police Department said a person sustained injuries that were not life-threatening Monday evening at a valet area outside of the Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida. The police department did not identify the victim.
Two people were detained by police and officials are investigating the incident, according to a statement from the police department.
“The site is secure and there is no threat to the public,” according to the police department. “Operations continue as normal.”

Well, honestly I don’t know who the artist is, but I hope they get better. On the other hand, I find it curious that the incident happened in Florida. I don’t mean to sound disrespectful, but isn’t Florida supposed to be one of the most chaotic and strange states in the United States? I’m not sure how true that is, or if it’s even a bit offensive to say it, but I’ve heard there’s something called “Florida Man,” referring to strange people who tend to commit crimes or do extremely bizarre things that obviously end up breaking the law.

In actual fact it's because Florida's "Sunshine Laws" mean that any YouTuber or freelance journalists can get a hold of any information about any crime. So we all get to hear about the weirdest things.

Damn, so that’s the reason why the internet has such a huge amount of videos about Florida Man. I honestly thought it was because Florida was more relaxed with its laws and a lot of people took advantage of that to do all kinds of nonsensical things that ended up becoming crimes.
