Metro 2039 Official Reveal Trailer & Sale - Au Jus Demon - Apr 16, 2026 Been a huge fan of Metro for years now, which funny enough is what got me into the Stalker games. Both are amazing franchises. Metro 2033 was originally made by devs who split off from the Stalker team, so in my head they’ve always kinda shared the same universe. The official announcement a few days ago already had me replaying the series again. Now with the new trailer dropping, they also put the entire franchise on Steam for like 90% off, so it’s honestly the perfect time to pick everything up if you haven’t already. Overview • Fourth mainline entry • Set six years after the original game • Returns to the underground Metro tunnels of Moscow Story • Stations are now united under the “Novoreich,” an authoritarian regime • Led by a new Fuhrer, the Spartan legend Hunter • You play as “The Stranger,” a fully voiced recluse dealing with violent nightmares and a past he can’t escape • Co-written by Dmitry Glukhovsky, with themes focused on war, tyranny, and the cost of freedom ![]() RE: Metro 2039 Official Reveal Trailer & Sale - SUI-3183372 - Apr 16, 2026 (Apr 16, 2026 12:54 PM)Au Jus Demon Wrote: Been a huge fan of Metro for years now, which funny enough is what got me into the Stalker games. Haven't had time to play it since it came out. RE: Metro 2039 Official Reveal Trailer & Sale - Prawnster - Apr 16, 2026 As my steam library suggests I'm ready to finish another 🤣 RE: Metro 2039 Official Reveal Trailer & Sale - Au Jus Demon - Apr 16, 2026 (Apr 16, 2026 04:43 PM)SUI-3183372 Wrote: +1, Metro used to be some of my favorite games, but they hurt my head now, probably won't be able to play this new one. I enjoyed the overall story of Stalker 2, but the gameplay felt like a step back in some ways. They kinda butchered the A-Life system from the original games, which was a huge part of what gave it that living world feel. At launch it was basically spawning events in a bubble around you. You could literally turn around and have a whole squad pop in right behind you. To be fair, they’ve been working on improving it with updates, so I’m just waiting to see how far they take it. With the new DLC coming soon, I’m hoping we get some real A-Life improvements and general quality of life fixes. RE: Metro 2039 Official Reveal Trailer & Sale - RangoWorld - Apr 17, 2026 This looks awesome. I wanted to try Metro games and started with Metro Redux but couldn't finish it for some reason. Not that game was bad but I got busy and forgot about it. Might need to get back at it now. Love the books and was hooked on the games for a while. Prob dont exodus 5 times now lol. That trailer was wild af though, iv watch it about 10 times now. RE: Metro 2039 Official Reveal Trailer & Sale - LΣGΣND - May 9, 2026 I'm definitely excited for this release, and honestly, was not even expecting it. I rarely have the time to sit down and play video games these days, and that's primarily due to a lack of interest. However, this past week I have been running through the franchise, and going for 100% completion on all of them. RE: Metro 2039 Official Reveal Trailer & Sale - DemonAsylum - May 31, 2026 I was incredibly excited to see a new Metro game get announced. Such an awesome series of games and that I didn't even know existed for quite a long time. I do need to play through Exodus entirely still, but 2033 and Last Light were great. I look forward to hopefully seeing more about 2039 this week either during PlayStation's State of Play and or Summer Games Fest. |
