My main one would be AI.
It's a very powerful and hugely helpful tool; however, people seem to lean on it and just trust outputs without question which leads to misinformed people.
What's one you think is making people worse?

AI for sure , I use it script stuff now and many automations.. I don't need to code it myself from scratch. Everything with AI honestly.

AI is really useful but it can make you very lazy too, so you should be careful with it.

Exactly! It can definitely be very helpful and super powerful, especially when you know what you are doing with it.
I feel like a lot of people use it for everything and in turn, start missing out on actually learning topics of some of the stuff that they just entirely outsource to AI.

The most scary thing is that I work in rehab community and there are customers that use AI as a therapist or as their friend and thats really scary..

Yeah, I've seen people having those "AI chatbot" apps that they treat as like girlfriends, fucking cringe stuff.

Yes, AI for a fact, the factual realisation that AI has actually dumb people down based on lack of futher research on topic, lackadaisical attitude in general even when AI gives a wrong answer.
Another one would be smart phones, been on there so much resulting in hunchback

Yeah, People copy-paste without even thinking twice.
For me, I’d say short-form content (Reels/Shorts/TikTok) is making people a bit worse.
Not because it’s all bad, but because it’s training our brains to want everything fast and easy. Attention span is getting messed up… people don’t have the patience to sit with anything deep anymore, like books, long conversations, even their own thoughts.
You scroll for 30 minutes and don’t even realise where the time went. And the worst part is, it feels productive or entertaining, but you walk away with nothing real.
It’s like… we’re constantly consuming, but not really thinking
