Why aren't people talking about the Mythos code leak?
This goes beyond simply being dangerous; it is a global hacking risk, and it is scary.

Because there a completed wars going on globally, and i think inflation is almost at its all time high, so most regular people are worried abut survival at the moment not a global technical threat,. ( My own, two cents)

For a couple of basic reasons.

1st - The leak wasn't about Claude Mythos, it was a runtime architecture layer of Claude.
2nd - Mythos is TBA

There's a lot of buzz about Mythos, but I think it's just hype.

Because this will happen regardless of what the current companies want or intend to do. Mythos may be one of the first, more well-known scripts, but some of us on HF were talking about recursive cybersecurity with CVE definitions & environment discovery tools... back in 2024.

This is no different. It's just LLM agents working against a target with CVEs and known POCs and methods. It's not really doing anything special tbh. It's just models that are more finetuned for cybersecurity and then used in loops.

I keep saying it and I'll say it again. The LLMs and platforms that people use are GENERALIZED for ALL USES. Mythos is just 1 example of where we go next...

The next phase of AI is highly specialized model/agent workflows that are even more superior to human effort, for specific niches. Cybersecurity is just one niche.

Anyways, Mythos is not special. It will just be 1 of what will be 100s of security options for attackers & defenders. This is the new era.

Nobody should give a shit about mythos source code because there will be plenty more like it. If you are scared about Mythos, please understand that there is nothing stopping someone from building something like it with *current models*. You can also train your own models to be better at this type of work.... The only thing Mythos has that we don't have is access to a large amount of computing power, and the funding to prototype it all. But the technology itself? Up for grabs, any foreign nation can build mythos or similar for their own national security purposes. And they will... so be prepared!

This is just the start. We are nowhere near the end of the AI roadmap. If you haven't mentally prepared to be dealing with AI in every single digital aspect of your life, for the rest of your life... well, then you are behind.

Mentally prepare accordingly folks, this shit is just getting started.
