Sudden FPS drop after update - waraktis - Apr 29, 2026 Game was running fine before but after latest update FPS dropped noticeably. Didn’t change anything on my system so kinda confused. Could updates mess things up this much? RE: Sudden FPS drop after update - HerrWinston - Apr 29, 2026 Depends on the Game you talk about and the update, if it changed graphics by a lot or reset your settings things can get worse fairly quick. For games like Fortnite chances are that you just have to wait for your account to fully load the map again, after like 3 matches the fps drops should be gone :) RE: Sudden FPS drop after update - waraktis - Apr 30, 2026 (Apr 29, 2026 09:20 AM)HerrWinston Wrote: Depends on the Game you talk about and the update, if it changed graphics by a lot or reset your settings things can get worse fairly quick. I’ll check that. RE: Sudden FPS drop after update - G Reviews - May 3, 2026 Also worth giving your graphics driver a quick reinstall – sometimes updates ship with a newer driver version that conflicts with the game’s settings. If you’ve got any overlays (Discord, GeForce Experience, etc.) try disabling them temporarily and see if the FPS stabilises. Let us know if anything changes after you reset the in‑game graphics options. |
